Abhishek-Aishwarya celebrates a decade of romance

A decade ago on this day, April 20, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya tied the knot at a private ceremony at Bachchan’s Juhu residence Prateeksha. In these 10 years the couple has not only proved ‘true-love-exists’ but also have given us some serious relationship goals.There was a time when Abhi-Ash were just friends. Abhishek was engaged to Karishma but soon their engagement broke-off and they both got back to work. While on the other side Aishwarya was in a relationship with Salman and soon even they broke up. She was later in a relationship with Vivek Oberoi. But even that didn’t work out. And the rest is history.

Abhi-Ash, as they are fondly referred, have mastered the art of balancing personal and professional life. The duo have worked together in films like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Kuch Naa Kaho (2003), Dhoom 2 (2006) and Guru (2007), among others. It was during the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Guru the love blossomed. It is said that Abhi proposed Aish in Toronto after the premiere of the film and she immediately accepted the proposal. The couple flew back to India and got married on April 20,2007.
