Kshitij Puducherry ke Bay of Bengal mein scuba diving kar rahe the, jab unka weight belt kharab ho gaya aur woh tezi se upar aa gaye. Is situation mein unhe decompression sickness (DCS) ya lung over-expansion ka khatra tha.
Dive ke dauran conditions aur bhi challenging thi. Paani kaafi uthal-puthal wala tha (choppy paani), visibility sirf 5-10 meter thi, aur unke aas-paas fishing zone mein boat se takraane ka bhi dar tha. Ye sab situation ko aur khatarnaak bana raha tha.
