Baba Siddique (66), Congress ke late leader aur former MLA, ki hatya ke case mein unki widow Shehzeen Ziauddin Siddique ne Bombay High Court mein petition daal di hai.
Yeh petition Mumbai Police par serious allegations lagati hai – keh rahi hai ki investigation mein political interference hai, crucial evidence ko dabaya gaya hai, aur real culprits ko bachaya ja raha hai
Shehzeen ne maanga hai ki Jaanch ko independent agency ko saunpa jaaye ya court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) banayi jaaye. Yeh matter agle hafte court mein sunwaai ke liye aayega.
Shehzeen ne advocate Trivankumar Karnani ke through petition file ki. Unka kehna hai ki Mumbai Police ne sirf gangster Anmol Bishnoi ko blame karke case ko band karne ki koshish ki hai, jabki asli motive – slum redevelopment projects mein builders ka involvement – ko ignore kiya gaya.
