Consumer Panel Ne Restaurants Ko Service Charge Par Sakht Warning Di, 50,000 Tak Ka Fine Possible

Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) ne eateries aur restaurants ko ek sakht directive jari kiya hai, jisme unhe mandatory service charge ko food bills par lagane se roka gaya hai.

Authority ne is practice ko “unfair trade practice” bataya hai aur restaurants ko 50,000 rupaye tak fine ki warning di hai agar woh bina customer ke consent ke service charge add karte hain

CCPA ne clarify kiya hai ki service charge optional hona chahiye, aur diners ka adhikar hai ise na dene ka. Agar koi restaurant service charge ko bill par automatic add karta hai, toh woh consumer protection kanoon ke tehat illegal mana jayega
