Cric-Kit Fair 2026 Opens at Wankhede Stadium; Ajinkya Rahane Inaugurates the Event

Mumbai, January 17, 2026:

The much-awaited Cric-Kit Fair 2026 was inaugurated today at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, by India cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, in the presence of members of the MCA Apex Council.

The two-day fair, organised with the objective of making quality cricket equipment accessible and affordable, has already witnessed an overwhelming response from players, parents, coaches and cricket enthusiasts. More than 10,000 registrations have been recorded over the two days, reflecting the strong interest and enthusiasm for the initiative.

The fair brings together leading cricket equipment manufacturers under one roof, offering players an opportunity to purchase authentic gear at discounted prices. Entry to the fair is free for all, ensuring maximum participation from young and aspiring cricketers.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ajinkya Rahane said,

“Cricket equipment has become expensive over the years, and initiatives like the Cric-Kit Fair play a very important role in supporting young cricketers. Making quality gear available at affordable prices directly from manufacturers will go a long way in encouraging grassroots cricket.”

Ajinkya Naik, President, Mumbai Cricket Association, said,

“The Cric-Kit Fair is a player-centric initiative aimed at easing the financial burden on aspiring cricketers and their families. Our focus is to create an ecosystem where talent is not limited by access to resources, and the response to this fair has been extremely encouraging.”

Members of the MCA Apex Council were present at the opening, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to player development and strengthening the cricketing ecosystem in Mumbai.

The Cric-Kit Fair 2026 concludes tomorrow, January 18, giving players and fans one final opportunity to explore a wide range of cricketing gear and accessories.
