Maharashtra Assembly Election ke pehle, Maharashtra DGP Rashmi Shukla ki service extension ko lekar Congress President Nana Patole ne Election Commission of India (ECI) ko letter likhte hue aitraz jataya hai aur is extension ko political motivated bataya hai.
News agencies ke mutabiq, Nana Patole ne apne letter me likha hai ki Rashmi Shukla ka 2 saal ka extension Maharashtra Police Act ka violation hai.
Congress ka kehna hai ki yeh decision upcoming Assembly Election process ko prabhavit kar sakta hai, isliye yeh faisla galat hai aur is par turant action lena chahiye.
Reports ke mutabiq, Rashmi Shukla January me DGP appoint hui thi aur unka retirement 30 June ko tha, lekin ab unko 2 saal ka extension diya gaya hai.
