Maharashtra: Local Body Elections Last-Minute Postpone Hone Par Macha Political Hungama

Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) ne achanak 24 Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats aur 154 ward seats ke elections 20 December tak postpone kar diye.
Yeh announcement voting se sirf ek din pehle aaya, jiski wajah se candidates, party workers aur local leaders sabhi shock ho gaye. Logon ne is move ko “unprecedented” aur “unfair” bataya.
CM Devendra Fadnavis ne SEC par sakht reaction diya. Unhone kaha: “Election Commission ne law ko galat samjha hai. Jab election process itne final stage par aa chuka hai, tab ise rokna bilkul galat hai. Pehle kabhi aisa nahi hua.”
Opposition parties ne bhi SEC par mismanagement ka aarop lagaya.
Harshvardhan Sapkal (Congress State President) Unhone kaha; “Polling se 48 ghante pehle elections postpone karna samajh se pare hai. Court order ke baad Commission ne 8 din tak kya kiya?”
State Election Commission ke mutabik: Sirf unhi jaghon par elections postpone kiye gaye jahan legal appeals pending thi. Baaki sab jaghon par polling pehle ki tarah 2 December ko hi hogi. Agar appeals waale cases me withdrawal ka time nahi diya jata, toh poora state election postpone karna padta. Isliye sirf affected areas me date badli gayi.
