Mumbai ke BKC (Bandra-Kurla Complex) mein ban raha bullet train project ek baar phir scrutiny mein aa gaya hai. BMC ke flying squads ne site par inspection ke dauraan paaya ki GRAP-4 ke strict anti-pollution rules follow nahi ho rahe the. Report ke mutabik, construction zone par misting machines, sprinklers aur dust control systems maujood nahi the—jo ki pollution kam karne ke liye mandatory hain.
Is violation ke baad BMC ne project contractor ko show-cause notice issue kiya hai, jisme poocha gaya hai ki guidelines kyun follow nahi ki gayi. Dusri taraf, NHSRCL ka kehna hai ki site par 85% excavation complete ho chuka hai aur woh norms ko follow karne ke liye committed hain. Yeh incident Mumbai ki already poor air quality ko lekar badhti chintaon ke beech saamne aaya hai.
