The entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden demise of actress Shefali Jariwala, who passed away at the age of 42. Known for her iconic appearance in the early 2000s hit music video ‘Kaanta Laga’, Shefali’s death has left fans, friends, and colleagues in shock.

Amid the growing crowd of grieving visitors, television actress Arti Singh, along with her husband Dipak, was spotted arriving at Cooper Hospital, where Shefali’s body was taken for post-mortem.

Jariwala was reportedly found unresponsive at her residence in Mumbai’s Andheri area and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital late on June 27, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Initial findings suggest cardiac arrest, though the exact cause of death is still under investigation, according to Mumbai Police.

“Her body was found at her Andheri residence. We received information around 1 AM. It has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem,” a police official confirmed.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) confirmed her passing on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating:

“Gone too soon at just 42 due to a sudden heart attack. It’s hard to believe she’s gone. May her soul rest in peace, and may God give strength to her family.”

Shefali Jariwala made her Bollywood debut in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ (2004) opposite Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. She was widely recognized for her television appearances, most notably:
