SSC Adopts AI-Powered System for Exam Paper Creation to Prevent Leaks and Boost Security

New Delhi [India], June 16 (ANI): In a groundbreaking move to enhance the security of government recruitment exams, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has begun using an AI-powered content authoring system developed by Cubastion Consulting. The new system was implemented during departmental competitive exams for central government posts starting June 15, 2025.

The AI selects questions from a pre-approved question bank, ensuring each exam paper is free from duplication, unpredictable, and well-structured. The final question paper is created in real time, just minutes before the exam, to maintain confidentiality and eliminate any chances of leaks.

One of the biggest shifts is that question papers are released only 15 minutes before the exam begins. Until then, no officials or users can access the content. Access is tightly controlled through digital verification, and the files are secured using advanced encryption and digital signatures.

The decryption key is based on digital signatures, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access the paper. The entire system operates on a zero-trust cybersecurity model, which requires continuous identity verification for every user or device attempting access—leaving no room for unauthorized entry.

SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan described the move as a transformational step for India’s exam ecosystem:

  • “We are proud to have enabled the first-ever examination to be conducted through this advanced infrastructure.”

Cubastion CEO Ravi Kumar added:

  • “This is a landmark in exam security. Real-time paper creation ensures agility and security by design.”

Deepanshu Sharma, Project Lead at Cubastion, emphasized the shift from traditional, fragmented processes to a machine-driven, scalable solution that could eventually lead to a nationwide digital transformation in exam delivery.

The new system is expected to significantly enhance the fairness, speed, and transparency of SSC exams while setting a precedent for other government recruitment bodies.
