Iran ke former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ki state funeral 4 July 2026 se shuru hogi aur 9 July ko Mashhad me unki tadfeen ke saath khatam hogi.

Khamenei ki maut 28 February 2026 ko Tehran me America aur Israel ke joint air strikes ke dauran hui thi, jab Middle East me jang ki shuruaat hui. Shuru me unka funeral 4 March ko hona tha, lekin lagatar chal rahi jang, security concerns, political transition aur baad me Muharram ke religious schedule ki wajah se ise kai baar postpone karna pada. Funeral me kai deshon ke representatives aur leaders shamil honge. India ki taraf se Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita aur Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain Iran jayenge. Iske alawa Mehbooba Mufti, Salman Khurshid aur kuch anya Bharatiya netaon ko bhi invitation diya gaya hai. China ne bhi apna senior representative bhejne ki pushti ki hai.
Duniya bhar ke experts ka maanna hai ki funeral me hui deri sirf security ka masla nahi, balki ek political aur diplomatic strategy bhi hai. Analysts ke mutabik Iran is funeral ke zariye national unity dikhana, naye leadership transition ko mazboot banana aur duniya ko apni taqat ka message dena chahta hai.
Kuch experts ka ye bhi kehna hai ki Islamic riwayat ke mutabik body ko jaldi dafn kiya jata hai, isliye itni lambi deri ek asadharan (unusual) faisla maana ja raha hai.
