A plot to disrupt the atmosphere ahead of the elections? Illegal firearm factory unearthed in Shamli
An illegal arms manufacturing unit has been uncovered in Shamli ahead of the elections. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a shed near a tubewell in a field and seized approximately 40 finished and semi-finished country-made pistols, along with cartridges and equipment used for manufacturing weapons. According to the police, the accused, Haroon, supplied these firearms to various locations, including Shamli, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and several districts in Haryana. During interrogation, it was revealed that the weapons were being produced both for illicit profit and with the intent to disrupt the atmosphere during the elections.
