Akhilesh Yadav to be CM Face in UP Elections; Congress Stance Clear

Political activity regarding the 2027 UP Assembly elections has intensified. UP Congress in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam has stated that if an alliance is formed between the SP and the Congress, Akhilesh Yadav will be the Chief Ministerial candidate. The Congress has announced plans to begin preparations across all 403 seats and aims to finalize seat-sharing talks by October. While the SP has welcomed this stance, the BJP has targeted the parties, alleging internal friction between the SP and the Congress.
