Akhilesh Yadav has launched the ‘PDA Rath Yatra’ from Raebareli, a Congress stronghold. The Samajwadi Party has begun gearing up to sharpen its campaign ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The focus of this yatra is to strengthen the ‘PDA’ equation—comprising *Pichhda* (Backward classes), *Dalit*, and *Alpsankhyak* (Minorities). Posters displayed in the area prior to Akhilesh’s visit also became a talking point; some depicted him as Lord Krishna, while others showed him receiving blessings from Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. In one poster, SP leader Vishwas Dwivedi portrayed himself as Sudama, with the message: “My Madhav, welcome to Raebareli—the land of your Sudama.” The launch of the PDA Yatra from Raebareli is considered significant in the context of the political landscape leading up to 2027.
