‘Anti-Paper Leak Bill’ passed in Lok Sabha; what did Rahul say about Shah and the RSS in Parliament?
The Anti-Paper Leak Amendment Bill 2026 has been passed by the Lok Sabha, sparking a war of words between the BJP and the Congress. Speaking in Parliament, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that the Home Minister lacks the courage to sit in the House and is therefore absent from the Lok Sabha. Rahul alleged that the Home Minister had ordered the firing of shots at students, a remark that prompted Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju to interrupt and raise an objection. Responding to Rahul, Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that, firstly, no shots were fired, and secondly, the Home Minister does not issue orders to open fire.
