Beware of adulterated sweets: Food Department conducts rapid raids ahead of festivals
The Food Department has launched a major crackdown on adulterated sweets and counterfeit food products ahead of the festive season. During a raid on a *chhena* (fresh cheese) shop in Ghaziabad, approximately 10 quintals of *rasgullas* were destroyed. The team collected samples of *rasgulla*, *paneer* (cottage cheese), arrowroot, and sodium hydrosulfite (*sepholite*) and sent them to the laboratory for testing. Action against suspicious sweets, *paneer*, *mawa* (condensed milk solids), and other food items has been taken not only in Ghaziabad but also in Modinagar and Noida.
