BJP launches protest against the government; accuses it of ‘anti-women’ policies

The BJP and its women’s wing staged a massive protest against the Congress government in Karnataka. During the demonstration held near the Legislative Assembly, BJP leaders and workers accused the Congress government of failing to provide representation to women in the cabinet and of adopting anti-women policies. BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy launched a scathing attack on the Congress government. The BJP also raised slogans against Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
