The CJP (Cockroach Janta Party) staged a protest at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and opposing the SIR. A large number of people turned out for the protest, led by CJP founders Abhijit Dipke and Saurav Das. Several artists from the Bollywood and music industries—including Shabana Azmi, Vishal Bhardwaj, Vishal Dadlani, Sherlyn Chopra, and Amin Hajee—also participated in the demonstration. Shabana Azmi spoke about the right to vote, while other artists raised questions regarding the SIR.
