Chain snaching was reported today by a Churchgoer Smt. Nancy Pimenta at about 9.50 am on Church Road Marol, near Amen Apartments, Marol, Andheri ( East), Mumbai 400 059, which falls under the jurisdiction of MIDC Police Station.

Smt. Nancy Pimenta, while returning from St. John the Evangelsit Church,Marol, on her way to home was accosted by a unknownyouth ( wearing checks shirt ) who pulled her chain( wt. about15 gms ) and sat in moving rickshaw, which sped away after commiting the crime.
The part of the said incident was captured by CCTV camera installed by Watchdog Foundation office ( Marol Church Road ).,
This is not the first incident of this type on Church Road, Marol and elsewhere in the city, when Sr. Citizens are targeted by the anti social elements, particuarly on Saturdays/Sundays and Feast Days. Said Nicholas Almeida Godfrey Pimenta Trustee
