CM meets families of those who lost their lives in the Chorbagan incident; provides financial aid to the families of Tanya and Barnali

Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister [Mamata Banerjee] visited the homes of families who lost their loved ones in the Chorbagan incident in Kolkata today. Tanya Biswas (18) and Barnali Haldar (17), both residents of New Town, lost their lives after being caught in a crowd surge during Durga Puja. The Chief Minister met with both bereaved families, assured them of all possible support, and handed over cheques for financial assistance. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister accused the opposition of playing politics over the incident and spreading misinformation. A poignant moment was also witnessed when she met with the children [of the families].
