The political battle in UP is intensifying ahead of the assembly elections. Chief Minister Yogi is presenting his report card and launching scathing attacks on the SP using statistical data. He speaks of a “new flight for a new Uttar Pradesh—from the Assembly to AI,” noting that previous governments failed to harness the state’s immense potential and instead kept it in a ‘Bimaru’ (backward/ailing) state. According to CM Yogi, the state now accounts for nearly 60 percent of the country’s mobile phone production and 55 percent of electronics component manufacturing, achieved within a span of nine and a half years. Meanwhile, SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav asserts that the country’s crisis will be resolved once the BJP is removed from power, predicting that a Samajwadi government will be formed in 2027.
