Cyber ​​Fraud in the Guise of Job Offers in Mainpuri: Inter-State Gang Busted, Accused Arrested

Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh: The Cyber ​​Crime Police in Mainpuri have busted an inter-state gang that defrauded individuals under the pretext of providing jobs, and have arrested a Bihar resident named Raghavendra Singh. According to the police, the gang targeted job-seeking youth through fake websites and Facebook advertisements, collecting money from them under the guise of registration, verification, and training fees. The swindled funds were transferred via ‘mule’ bank accounts. The investigation has uncovered 67 such mule bank accounts and 18 cyber-fraud complaints, with the total amount defrauded estimated to be around ₹50 lakh.
