Dacoity at Seed Trader’s Home in Nalanda; Miscreants Loot Gold and Diamonds

A major dacoity occurred late Sunday night in the Devisarai area of ​​Nalanda. Around a dozen armed, masked miscreants entered the home of seed trader Rajiv Ranjan Kumar via the roof and held the entire family hostage. Threatening an innocent child to obtain the safe’s key, the miscreants looted assets worth approximately ₹1 crore—including ₹45 lakh in cash, as well as gold, silver, and diamond jewelry—before fleeing the scene. Following the incident, the Nalanda police, along with FSL and dog squad teams, have launched an investigation. SP Bharat Soni has expressed suspicion that someone known to the family might be involved, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted.
