ED Takes Action on JPSC Exam Irregularities; Financial Dealings to be Investigated

Student protests in Jharkhand regarding alleged irregularities and malpractices in JPSC and JSSC examinations are intensifying. Thousands of students have taken to the streets to lay siege to the Legislative Assembly. Amidst this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stepped in to investigate the alleged rigging of the JPSC’s 14th Preliminary Test (PT). The ED has registered an ECIR under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), based on the FIR previously filed with the CID. The agency will now probe the alleged illegal transactions, the source of funds, and the potential money trail. Nineteen individuals have been arrested so far in connection with the case, and the CID is already conducting an investigation into the matter.
