Following the ED’s action against his Personal Assistant (PA), senior Congress leader Harish Rawat has offered to resign from two key positions. The ED conducted raids on the premises of Chandan Singh Jeena, a close associate and PA to Harish Rawat. According to the investigative agency, the action was taken in connection with a money laundering case involving alleged irregularities in the 2016 VPDO examination. The ED reported the recovery of cash, gold, and luxury watches from Jeena’s premises. In the wake of this action, Harish Rawat announced his decision to step down from two Congress posts, citing moral responsibility.
