Purniā MP Pappu Yadav had staged a skit involving the ‘theft of donations’ while dressed as a *sadhu* (ascetic) within the Parliament complex—a stunt that has now backfired on both him and Awadhesh Prasad. The BJP has launched a campaign against this act, and *sadhus* and seers across the country have taken to the streets in protest against the duo. A formal complaint has been filed against Pappu Yadav in New Delhi; BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj visited the DCP’s office to lodge it. Additionally, an FIR has been registered against Pappu Yadav in Varanasi. This FIR also names Rahul Gandhi and Awadhesh Prasad, the SP MP from Faizabad.
