A major tragedy unfolded late Tuesday night when a massive fire broke out at a hotel in Kolkata’s Free School Street area. Nine people lost their lives due to the fire and thick smoke, while several others are reported injured. The deceased include two women and a four-year-old child. Reports indicate the fire started on the hotel’s third floor, and smoke rapidly spread to surrounding areas.
