From Jammu & Kashmir to Delhi-NCR, rain brings chaos ranging from waterlogging to traffic jams.
Heavy monsoon rains have compounded difficulties for residents in Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department has upgraded the weather warning from ‘Orange Alert’ to ‘Red Alert.’ Amidst strong winds, thunderstorms, and heavy downpours, reports and visuals of waterlogging and traffic congestion have emerged from several areas of Delhi. In Sangam Vihar, the Shani Bazar Road became submerged after just five minutes of rain, while a massive traffic jam was witnessed in Nehru Place following the rainfall. Meanwhile, heavy rains have caused water levels in rivers and drains to rise in Dehradun, and the Baitarani River in Odisha’s Bhadrak district is flowing above the danger mark.
