Ganga-Yamuna Water Levels Rise in Prayagraj; Low-Lying Areas, Including Sangam, Inundated
Desk: Water levels in the Ganga and Yamuna rivers are steadily rising in Prayagraj due to continuous rainfall and the release of water from upstream areas. The Sangam area is completely submerged, and floodwaters have reached homes and roads in several low-lying localities. Although both rivers are currently flowing below the danger mark, the administration has heightened the alert in riverside areas and intensified relief and rescue preparations. Residents will be relocated to safer places if the need arises.
