Government’s big announcement for former fire fighters, age relaxation along with reservation, benefits in recruitment

The central government has taken a big decision for the ex-firefighters who have completed four years of service under Agneepath Yojana. Now during the recruitment of Constable (GD) and Rifleman posts in CAPF and Assam Rifles, Ex-fire veterans will get 50% reservation, age relaxation of 3 years, while first batch fire veterans will get age relaxation up to 5 years. Ministry of Home Affairs has researched the recruitment rules for this and has also constituted ‘Ex Agniveer Wing’. However, the opposition questioned the decision and said that instead of increasing the quota, the government should give permanent jobs to fire fighters.
