Gujarat Police Conducts 28-Day ‘Surakshit Shakti Abhiyan’ for Women’s Safety

Gujarat: The Gujarat Police conducted a 28-day ‘Surakshit Shakti Abhiyan’ (Safe Power Campaign) across the state to ensure women’s safety. Held from August 17 to September 13, the campaign focused on crime prevention, digital safety awareness, victim support, and community engagement. In addition to intensifying patrols in schools, colleges, malls, and other sensitive areas, the Gujarat Police’s ‘She-Team’ raised awareness among women about crimes such as cyberbullying, online grooming, sextortion, deepfakes, OTP fraud, and QR code-related scams. Information regarding services like the women’s helpline (181), police assistance (112), and the cyber fraud helpline (1930) was also provided.
