Hemant Soren yields, accepts all demands; JSSC CGL exam to be cancelled.

Following a student protest in Jharkhand that had been ongoing for the past 24 days, the Hemant Soren government has taken a major decision. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has cancelled all examinations—including the JSSC CGL—and their results that were conducted by the agency TDPL; he has also announced an inquiry into all examinations held since 2014. This means the students’ demand for the cancellation of the JSSC CGL exam has been met, a move being hailed as a major victory for them. Following the announcement, an atmosphere of jubilation prevailed among the students gathered at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi; CM Hemant Soren himself announced the decision to the media.
