High alert from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir; security tightened everywhere ahead of August 15.

Security arrangements in the capital have been further bolstered ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. In view of the potential threat of a terrorist attack, the Delhi Police has issued a high alert across the city; alongside enhancing coordination with security agencies, the police have also planned to make the general public an integral part of the security setup. Meanwhile, security measures have also been intensified in Jammu & Kashmir for the August 15 Independence Day celebrations. Following fresh terror threat alerts from intelligence agencies, the deployment of security forces has been increased in Srinagar, Jammu, and other major cities and towns across the Valley.
