In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, the police have busted a gang involved in printing and circulating counterfeit currency. Three individuals, including the mastermind, Shubham, have been arrested. Authorities recovered counterfeit notes with a face value of approximately 5.26 lakh rupees, along with a laptop, a printer, mobile phones, and various materials used for printing the fake currency. According to the police, the mastermind, Shubham, got the idea to print counterfeit notes after watching the web series ‘Farzi’ on an OTT platform. He subsequently learned the printing process through YouTube videos and launched the operation alongside two accomplices.
