Key Accused Arrested in Kaushambi Firecracker Factory Blast; ₹25,000 Reward Announced for Absconders; Major Action Taken
Police have intensified their crackdown on the absconding accused involved in the firecracker factory explosion in Kaushambi, UP. On Tuesday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyanarayan Prajapati announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for three individuals who are currently on the run: Shakeel, Kahkasha Bano, and Adil. Meanwhile, the factory owner, Naushad, was arrested following a police encounter; he sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Following the blast, the police had registered a case against six individuals, including the prime accused Naushad Ali, his wife Kahkasha Bano, son Adil, brother Shakeel, Shakeel’s wife Shabana, and Saina. Additionally, nine police personnel—including one Inspector and six Sub-Inspectors—have been suspended for negligence. Thirteen people have lost their lives in this tragedy so far. The Kaushambi SP has now provided details regarding the police action taken in connection with the entire incident.
