The Education Department has taken action regarding an incident in Panchkula, Haryana, where a young KG student was subjected to brutal physical assault on school premises. Neelu, the principal of Shaheed Major Anuj Rajput Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, located in Sector 20, has been suspended. The Secondary Education Department of the Haryana government issued the suspension orders on Sunday, effective immediately. Principal Neelu has been suspended under Rule 5 of the Haryana Civil Services Rules, 2016. This action was initiated by the Education Department following the incident at the school. Prior to this, the District Elementary Education Officer had also suspended two JBT (Junior Basic Training) teachers posted at the school—Simranjit Kaur and Pooja Rani.
