Major Cyber ​​Fraud of ₹116.86 Crore: Police Busts Major Gang

The UP Police has uncovered a massive cyber fraud case worth ₹116.86 crore. A joint team comprising the Cyber ​​Crime Cell of Varanasi and the Chetganj police station arrested the fraudsters responsible for this scam. The police apprehended four accused individuals, including the gang’s ringleader. According to reports, the gang would lure people with the promise of a commission to open fake firms in their names and then use their bank accounts to facilitate cyber fraud, investment scams, and betting app activities. Police investigations revealed 143 NCRP complaints linked to 41 bank accounts associated with the accused, uncovering a total fraud amounting to ₹116.86 crore.
