Major Tunnel Collapse in Chamoli: 16 Workers Rescued; CM Dhami Monitoring the Situation

A major incident occurred in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, where an under-construction tunnel of the THDC hydropower project in Pipalkoti suddenly collapsed, trapping approximately 20 workers inside. Panic ensued as a section of the tunnel caved in and water began flooding the area. The incident caused a stir in the region. Upon receiving news of the accident, the local administration and rescue teams immediately swung into action. A rapid rescue operation has been launched; 16 people have been safely brought out so far, and efforts to rescue the remaining individuals are ongoing.
