Malegaon Reels from Rain Deficit; ‘Namaz-e-Istisqa’ Offered to Save Crops

Malegaon, Maharashtra: People, livestock, and the agricultural sector in Malegaon, Maharashtra, have been severely affected by the lack of adequate rainfall during the monsoon season. To save crops and orchards from withering and to alleviate the acute water shortage, a special ‘Namaz-e-Istisqa’ (prayer for rain) was offered at the Lashkar-wali Eidgah, led by MLA and Imam Mufti Ismail Qasmi. All eyes in the region are now turned towards the sky, hoping for imminent rainfall to bring relief from the drought-like conditions.
