Massive surge of faith in Haridwar; Tejasvi Surya also joins the devotees of Shiva

Haridwar is bustling with Shiva devotees during the holy month of Sawan. So far, over 2.19 crore Kanwariyas have departed for their destinations after collecting holy water from the Ganges in Haridwar. The Haridwar police have tightened security arrangements, identifying August 8, 9, and 10 as the most critical days. Meanwhile, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya took a holy dip at Har Ki Pauri and collected water from the Ganges to perform *Jalabhishek* (ritual offering of water) to Lord Shiva. Elsewhere, Shiva devotees from Moradabad are setting an example of faith and devotion by carrying their elderly parents on their shoulders during the approximately 200-kilometer Kanwar Yatra.
