Menace of harassers in Bihar! After Jamui and Samastipur, an incident of physical assault/harassment reported from Banka

Desk: Questions regarding law and order and women’s safety are being raised in Bihar following the recent emergence of videos showing the harassment of girls and women in Jamui, Samastipur, and Banka. In the Jamui case involving the harassment of a minor student, the police took action and arrested the prime accused, while four individuals were arrested in connection with the Samastipur incident. Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the viral video from Mandar Hill in Banka. However, the Banka video is said to date back to an older incident that has only recently gone viral on social media. The continuous surfacing of such cases has posed a serious challenge for the administration regarding the safety of women and minors in public spaces.
