Mohali: ED action at GMADA continues amid probe into alleged ₹290 crore bank fraud
Political activity in Punjab has intensified ahead of next year’s assembly elections. The Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) operation at the GMADA headquarters in Mohali is ongoing, even after 35 hours. According to reports, the ED has sealed three floors of the GMADA office and seized certain records. This action is reportedly part of an investigation into alleged financial irregularities linked to the Tirupati Infraprojects case and an alleged bank fraud amounting to approximately ₹290 crore. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a protest outside the GMADA office against the ED’s actions.
