MP Government Relents: 60% of Moong Crop to be Procured; E-Token System Scrapped, Yet Farmers Remain Dissatisfied

Farmers in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, are continuing their protest for the third consecutive day, demanding 100% procurement of *moong* (green gram), the abolition of the e-token system, and the fulfillment of other demands. Despite the government’s response to these demands, a resolution does not yet appear to be in sight. Meanwhile, MP Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kanshana has announced that the government will procure up to 60% of the *moong* crop. According to the government, procurement will take place at a rate of approximately 3 quintals per acre in districts such as Narmadapuram, Sehore, and Harda. Additionally, the slot booking period has been extended to August 10, while the final date for *moong* procurement has been set for August 20.
