A ban has been imposed on the cooking and serving of non-vegetarian food in the messes and canteens of all hostels at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), a prominent hospital in Lucknow; the college administration has issued an official order to this effect. According to the order, non-vegetarian food will neither be cooked nor served in any of the university’s hostel messes or canteens.
