‘Only vegetarian food’ to be prepared at the Kerala Governor’s office; Congress takes aim, BJP hits back

A political controversy has erupted over alleged instructions to prepare and serve only vegetarian food in the kitchen of the Kerala Governor’s official residence. The Congress and the CPI(M) have questioned this reported decision by the new Governor, Om Prakash Mathur, criticizing it by linking it to the ‘Sangh Parivar’ agenda. Meanwhile, the BJP has accused the opposition of creating an unnecessary issue. According to sources within the Governor’s office, these instructions were issued because Governor Mathur is a vegetarian. It has also been clarified that there are no restrictions regarding the food consumed by the staff.
