Police in Saharanpur Seize Smack Worth ₹2.2 Crore; Major Revelation Made
The police in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing campaign against the illegal drug trade. Acting against a network involved in the trafficking of ‘smack’ (heroin/narcotics), the police arrested four individuals, including two women. A total of 1.1 kilograms of smack was recovered from their possession. According to the police, the seized contraband has an estimated value of approximately ₹2.2 crore in the international market. Additionally, four mobile phones used in the trafficking operation were also confiscated. Speaking to the media, City Superintendent of Police (SP City) Vyom Bindal stated that the accused would procure the smack from an unidentified person near the Moradabad railway station. They would then repackage the substance into smaller packets and sell them to drug users at inflated prices.
