Prahlad Joshi Takes Charge of the Ministry of Education: How Did He Become PM Modi’s Trusted Aide?

Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Education Minister following student protests over the NEET paper leak that lasted for more than a month. Following his resignation, the responsibility for the Ministry of Education has now been entrusted to Prahlad Joshi. Acting on the Prime Minister’s advice, the President has approved assigning him the additional charge of the Education Ministry. Joshi will continue to hold the portfolios he already manages; he will now oversee the Ministry of Education alongside the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
