Rani had been selling drugs in Amritsar’s Gujjarpura for 15 years; Punjab Police demolished her house.
The police have taken major action against drug trafficking in the Gujjarpura area of Amritsar, Punjab. A joint team comprising the police and the Municipal Corporation demolished the house of Rani, a local drug trafficker. According to the police, the house contained illegal construction and was built using proceeds from drug trafficking. Following the demolition, the Police Commissioner stated that six cases were already registered against Rani, and criminal cases had also been filed against both her sons. The demolition was carried out in the presence of Police Commissioner Harmanbir Singh Gill.
