Simmering Unrest in PoK: People Take to the Streets for Rights; Movement Spreads Across Pakistan

The situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is critical. Continuous protests against the Pakistani government are taking place in the region. While the government has been making persistent efforts to suppress this movement, the protests are now seen spreading from PoK to various other parts of Pakistan. The Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) has called for expanding the movement beyond PoK’s borders to encompass all of Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan.
