SP sends defamation notice to Nishikant Dubey; political temperature rises following social media post
The political war of words regarding alleged irregularities in the offerings made at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya appears to be escalating into a legal battle. The Samajwadi Party has issued a legal notice for defamation to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. The dispute stems from a social media post that linked Tinnu Yadav—an accused in the Ram Mandir offerings irregularity case—to SP President Akhilesh Yadav. The post claimed that Tinnu Yadav had spoken to Akhilesh Yadav over the phone 980 times in the last two and a half years. Reacting sharply to this claim, the Samajwadi Party dismissed the allegations as baseless. SP President Akhilesh Yadav stated on social media that MPs from both the ruling party and the opposition enjoy equal parliamentary privileges; he demanded that Nishikant Dubey delete his “false post” within 10 minutes, warning that otherwise, a named FIR would be lodged against him.
